Located near beautiful Mount Vernon, WA, youll collaborate and consult with teachers, administrators, and families to identify student strengths and learning needs, helping every learner reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Masters degree or higher in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology, or a related field
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility
- Experience conducting comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations
- Proficiency in interpreting and explaining standardized test results
- Familiarity with IEP development, special education laws, and MTSS/RTI processes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic, school-based environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, score, and interpret a variety of cognitive, achievement, and behavioral assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and IEP meetings, sharing results and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to design appropriate instructional and behavioral supports
- Maintain timely, detailed, and compliant documentation for evaluation reports and student files
- Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding special education processes and student needs
- Stay current with best practices, assessment tools, and legal requirements in special education
