Help shape students learning journeys by bringing your expertise as an Educational Diagnostician to a dynamic school setting near Mooseheart, IL. This contract opportunity places you at the forefront of academic support, as you assess and coordinate services for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or current eligibility for state licensure
- Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience interpreting psychoeducational evaluations and developing recommendations
- Strong knowledge of RTI/MTSS and special education eligibility criteria
- Excellent communication skillsable to collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with assessment tools, IEP software, and documentation protocols
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and re-evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Analyze data and interpret test results to identify strengths, needs, and eligibility
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and guidance to families and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrative staff to develop and monitor effective interventions
- Maintain accurate, timely evaluation reports and support compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Offer training and consultation to staff regarding best practices in assessment and progress monitoring
