Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or a related field
  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in administering and interpreting a broad range of academic and cognitive assessments
  • Solid understanding of federal and state special education regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and team members
  • Prior experience in a K-12 educational setting is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students referred for special education evaluation
  • Prepare clear, detailed diagnostic reports to support eligibility decisions and instructional planning
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing assessment results and recommendations
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and related service providers to develop evidence-based intervention strategies
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to maximize student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district protocols and regulations
