Qualifications/Skills:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
- Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, assessments, and best practices
- Experience with evaluation tools including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with faculty, parents, and students
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and analytical approach to student evaluation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Administer, score, and interpret a variety of assessment tools to identify student learning needs
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and participate in eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to review findings and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide expert consultation regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Stay current with educational diagnostic trends and compliance requirements
