Qualifications/Skills:

  • Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, assessments, and best practices
  • Experience with evaluation tools including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with faculty, parents, and students
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and analytical approach to student evaluation

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services
  • Administer, score, and interpret a variety of assessment tools to identify student learning needs
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports and participate in eligibility meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to review findings and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide expert consultation regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Stay current with educational diagnostic trends and compliance requirements
