Step into a contract opportunity where your experience as an Educational Diagnostician can make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students. This position is designed for professionals dedicated to educational assessment and intervention, with the chance to work on-site in an itinerant capacity across several elementary campuses. Beginning in August and continuing through the end of May, you'll engage with students, collaborate with teams, and support educational progress within a supportive district.
Key Qualifications:
- Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (required)
- Demonstrated experience as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas public schools, preferably with several years in the field
- Expertise in conducting ARDs, evaluations, and developing individualized education plans
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students
- Willingness to travel between multiple campuses (itinerant role)
- Must complete a fingerprint-based background check as required by the district
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for elementary students
- Participate actively in ARD meetings and contribute to development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with campus ARD Specialists, teachers, and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Provide consultative support and recommendations for instructional strategies and interventions
