Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification required
  • Masters degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
  • Background in psycho-educational assessments and eligibility determination for special education services
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations
  • Proficiency in interpreting assessment data and writing comprehensive reports
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct formal and informal evaluations for students referred for special education services
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret assessment data to inform eligibility and instructional planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and service providers to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and present evaluation findings clearly to all stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to support effective classroom interventions
  • Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in educational assessment
