Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification required
- Masters degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
- Background in psycho-educational assessments and eligibility determination for special education services
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations
- Proficiency in interpreting assessment data and writing comprehensive reports
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal and informal evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Compile, analyze, and interpret assessment data to inform eligibility and instructional planning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and service providers to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and present evaluation findings clearly to all stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Provide consultation and recommendations to support effective classroom interventions
- Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in educational assessment
