Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Previous experience conducting educational assessments and interpreting results for school-aged children
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment instruments, and individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Proficient communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
- Analytical thinker with a detail-oriented approach to documentation and reporting
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments to determine students cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide recommendations for instructional strategies, accommodations, and interventions based on assessment findings
- Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records and reports in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer insights for eligibility, reevaluation, and programming decisions
- Stay updated on the latest assessment tools and educational best practices through professional development
