- Experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting formal and informal educational assessments
- Strong understanding of special education laws and compliance, including IDEA and Section 504
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and communication with students, staff, and families
- Thorough organizational abilities and attention to detail when managing evaluation timelines and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify students strengths and educational needs
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Communicate assessment results, recommendations, and present levels of performance to parents, teachers, and administration
- Maintain accurate, compliant records and documentation related to evaluation and eligibility
- Offer direct support and consultation to educators regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Stay current on best practices in assessment tools, interventions, and educational diagnostics through ongoing professional development
