Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certification as an Educational Diagnostician or equivalent qualification
- Prior experience working in school settings, ideally conducting evaluations and assessments
- Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, students, and parents
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage assessment caseloads efficiently
- Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and strategies for diverse learner populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students referred for special education services
- Interpret evaluation data to help develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to determine appropriate supports and placements
- Prepare clear, concise evaluation reports and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Consult with general and special education staff to implement recommended interventions and accommodations
- Stay informed on best practices and compliance requirements related to diagnostics and special education
