Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or eligibility for certification
- Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments in a school setting
- Solid knowledge of learning disabilities, special education laws, and IEP development
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to interpret data to inform educational decisions and recommendations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students referred for special education services
- Interpret and communicate assessment results to parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of effective educational plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for each student assessment
- Provide recommendations and consultative support to school teams regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Stay informed about current best practices, legal mandates, and assessment tools relevant to special education
- Foster strong working relationships with students, families, and staff to support a collaborative educational environment
