Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification (state-issued)
- Masters degree in Special Education or related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience conducting educational assessments and developing individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Experience working with diverse student populations in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive academic, behavioral, and cognitive assessments
- Analyze test results to determine eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IEPs
- Keep detailed documentation and comply with federal, state, and local special education regulations
- Offer recommendations and resources to enhance student learning and teacher support
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in diagnosis and intervention
