Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification (Texas preferred)
- Masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience conducting educational assessments, including cognitive, academic, and behavioral evaluations
- Solid knowledge of special education regulations and individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret a variety of standardized assessments for students referred for special education services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to comprehensive eligibility reports
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to recommend appropriate accommodations and interventions
- Develop, review, and help implement IEPs to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required paperwork in a timely, professional manner
- Offer consultation and support to staff regarding student needs and instructional strategies
