Make an impact in the field of special education by supporting elementary students as a dedicated Educational Diagnostician for the 20262027 academic year. This full-time, in-person contract opportunity allows you to work closely with students, families, and school staff while leveraging your expertise as an itinerant diagnostician across multiple campuses. While you will conduct ARDs and evaluations, campuses provide the additional backing of ARD Specialists, ensuring your time and skills remain focused and valued.
What Youll Bring:
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (required)
- Demonstrated expertise with a minimum of several years working as an educational diagnostician, preferably within Texas public schools
- Strong knowledge of the ARD process and experience in conducting student evaluations
- Familiarity with elementary-age caseloads and a deep commitment to supporting students educational outcomes
- Willingness and ability to travel between various campuses, providing flexible, responsive support as needed
- Successful completion of fingerprinting/background check, as required by the district
What Youll Do:
- Serve as an essential resource for elementary campuses by performing comprehensive educational assessments, interpreting results, and developing actionable recommendations
- Participate in the ARD process, collaborating with ARD Specialists for optimal student support
- Maintain high-quality, timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Communicate findings professionally and compassionately with parents, teachers, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Balance a full-time, 40-hour workweek with effective caseload management for each assigned campus
