Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or equivalent credential
- Experience in conducting educational, cognitive, and behavioral assessments
- In-depth knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in preparing detailed evaluation reports and recommendations
- Previous school-based experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret a wide range of evaluation tools to assess academic achievement, cognitive functioning, and socio-emotional development
- Prepare comprehensive written reports and recommendations for eligibility, placement, and instructional planning
- Collaborate with educators, school psychologists, therapists, and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Attend eligibility determination and IEP meetings, sharing evaluation results and providing expert guidance
- Consult with teachers and staff to support effective implementation of recommended accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate assessment records and adhere to all compliance and documentation requirements
- Stay abreast of current developments and best practices in educational diagnostics and special education
