Job Description

This full-time position is seeking a skilled Educational Diagnostician to provide comprehensive K-12 assessment services within a dynamic school setting located in Gretna, Louisiana. The role is contracted for the current school year, with an immediate start and assignment continuing through May 22, 2026. Working Monday through Friday, you will engage for 35 hours per week, with daily schedules aligned to the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough educational evaluations to identify student learning needs and appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and comply with district guidelines and timelines
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress and placement decisions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician is required
  • Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings, preferably within Louisiana, is highly valued
  • Ability to complete required district-mandated screenings, including drug testing and fingerprinting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage caseload efficiently
