As an Educational Diagnostician, you will work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), evaluating students' educational needs and collaborating with staff to create tailored learning strategies. Your insight will empower teams to better support students and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification in Texas
- Experience with evaluation, assessment, and eligibility determination for K-12 students
- Familiarity with Special Education law, including IDEA and Section 504
- Strong communication, report-writing, and organizational skills
- Able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Previous school experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments for students in grades K-12
- Interpret evaluation data and provide recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies for student success
- Attend and participate in ARD/IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely assessment records in compliance with applicable guidelines
