Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification as an Educational Diagnostician or eligibility to obtain
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, School Psychology, or a related field
- Prior experience conducting educational assessments, cognitive testing, and individualized evaluations for K12 students
- Strong knowledge of current federal and state special education regulations (IDEA, Section 504)
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in organizing, documenting, and interpreting assessment data for eligibility meetings and IEP development
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to identify students strengths and areas of need
- Participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings, providing insight for eligibility, programming, and progress monitoring
- Compile clear, detailed diagnostic reports and present findings to parents and staff
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer recommendations regarding specialized instruction and support services tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate, timely records and uphold all relevant compliance standards
