Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Active certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience providing assessments in an educational environment
- Deep understanding of special education regulations and procedures
- Strong communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in conducting cognitive and academic evaluations
- Ability to interpret data and develop comprehensive reports
Key responsibilities:
- Perform educational, cognitive, and diagnostic evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Interpret assessment data and make recommendations to support student learning and development
- Provide consultative support to school staff regarding accommodations, modifications, and interventions
- Maintain ongoing records and documentation in compliance with all applicable guidelines and standards
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to professional development initiatives
