Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification in the state of Texas
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or a related field
- Experience conducting comprehensive evaluations for special education eligibility
- Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ability to efficiently manage paperwork, timelines, and assessment schedules
- Previous school-based or related experience highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal assessments and interpret results to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely assessment reports and documentation
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings as a key team member, providing expertise and recommendations
- Guide educational staff in interpreting assessment data and implementing accommodations
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal reporting requirements
- Support students educational growth and advocate for their academic success
