Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas
- Previous experience in educational assessment, testing, and special education evaluations preferred
- Strong understanding of federal and state special education regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in interpreting assessment data and generating comprehensive reports
- Adaptive problem-solver with a passion for supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational, academic, and behavioral assessments for students referred for special services
- Interpret findings and prepare detailed, actionable evaluation reports
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention plans
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in special education assessment and eligibility
- Provide support and consultation to staff regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
