Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- State certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Prior experience conducting comprehensive educational and cognitive assessments
- In-depth knowledge of special education regulations, including IDEA and Section 504
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, educators, and parents
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage various caseloads and situations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and developmental assessments to determine student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to interpret evaluation results
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, providing expertise to guide appropriate instruction and interventions
- Maintain detailed, confidential records and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
- Develop succinct reports outlining recommended educational interventions and accommodations
- Support school staff by providing ongoing professional development on assessment tools and best practices
- Engage with students, offering direct and consultative support to foster academic achievement
