Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas.
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current evaluation tools, educational laws (IDEA, Section 504), and best practices in special education assessment.
- Experience designing and interpreting educational and psychological assessments for school-aged children.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, administrators, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive academic and cognitive assessments for students referred for evaluation.
- Develop detailed reports interpreting test results and providing actionable recommendations.
- Participate actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) and Section 504 meetings, serving as a key resource in eligibility determination and program planning.
- Consult with teachers, interventionists, and school staff to support tailored student interventions.
- Maintain confidential records and ensure all evaluations comply with state and federal guidelines.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with assessment strategies and regulatory changes.
