In this contract position, youll collaborate with a dedicated team of educators to identify students strengths and needs, helping to create supportive, individualized learning plans. What You Bring:
- Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (required)
- Masters Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience conducting educational assessments and creating intervention plans
- Solid understanding of special education laws, eligibility criteria, and compliance best practices
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Detail-oriented problem-solver with a student-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Your Day-to-Day:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Interpret assessment data and share results with staff and families in clear, supportive terms
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers and parents regarding strategies and accommodations for student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation that meets all regulatory standards
- Stay current with district, state, and federal requirements through ongoing professional development
- Advocate for the needs and rights of students, helping remove barriers to learning
