This contract opportunity gives you the chance to work directly with students and educators, using your expertise to assess and support learners with diverse educational needs. You'll collaborate with a team of professionals to help shape positive educational outcomes in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
- Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Familiarity with a variety of academic, cognitive, and behavioral assessment tools
- Understanding of special education processes, including eligibility determination and IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to support identification of special educational needs
- Interpret and communicate assessment results to students, parents, and school teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and program planning decisions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other specialists to develop strategies for student success
- Maintain thorough, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
