Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification/licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
- Experience conducting educational evaluations and assessments in school settings
- In-depth knowledge of special education laws, compliance, and IEP processes
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and report-writing abilities
- Adaptability and professionalism in fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate learning disabilities and differences
- Interpret evaluation data for the development and implementation of effective individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and family members to facilitate student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
- Attend IEP meetings, offering expertise and advocacy for students needs
- Provide consultative support and resources to staff regarding best assessment practices and instructional strategies
- Stay current with educational trends, tools, and regulations impacting diagnostician practice
