Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Experience with diverse school populations and learning needs
- Strong knowledge of special education law, RTI/MTSS, and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in administering cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
- Ability to interpret data and generate clear, actionable evaluation reports
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and fostering an inclusive setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational and psychological assessments for referred students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expertise on eligibility and student support
- Monitor student progress and recommend instructional strategies tailored to individual needs
- Assist with implementing interventions and educational planning
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding best practices in assessment and programming
