Step into a dynamic role as an Educational Diagnostician in a supportive and collaborative district just east of Albuquerque, NM. This contract opportunity places you among a dedicated team serving a total of 500 special education students across three sitestwo elementary and one middle school. The district is known for its friendly leadership, strong collegial spirit, and willingness to consider qualified travel professionals who can provide timely updates on their relocation plans and PED documentation status.
As part of a tight-knit diagnostician group, youll receive assistance from both a per diem diagnostician and an intern, ensuring you have ample support throughout your assignment. Youll focus primarily on evaluations and assessments, working across the three westside schools while handling a caseload that includes only elementary and middle school studentsno Pre-K required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid credentials as an Educational Diagnostician with up-to-date PED documentation (please submit a copy with your application)
- Experience in conducting student evaluations and assessments within school settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work at multiple school sites as needed
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations for assigned students
- Participate actively with a collegial diagnostic team to develop and implement best practices
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance requirements in accordance with district and PED expectations
- Communicate results and recommendations clearly to staff and families
