Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Solid knowledge of special education laws, evaluation tools, and assessment procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop, interpret, and present assessment results and recommendations to staff and families
  • Proficient in writing comprehensive, legally compliant reports
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage caseloads efficiently

Responsibilities:

  • Administer assessments to evaluate academic, cognitive, and emotional needs of students
  • Interpret and share results with staff and parents to support individualized educational planning
  • Make practical recommendations for services and supports based on evaluation findings
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and specialists to facilitate student growth
  • Ensure all documentation and reports meet compliance requirements
  • Consult and participate in eligibility, ARD/IEP, and related meetings as needed
  • Stay current with evolving best practices in evaluation and special education
