Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician (required)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Demonstrated experience conducting educational evaluations and assessments in school settings
- Thorough understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Detail-oriented and adept at maintaining accurate records and documentation
Primary Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive academic, cognitive, and behavioral assessments to identify student needs
- Interpret and summarize evaluation results for eligibility determination meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultation and recommendations to faculty and families regarding accommodations and instructional strategies
- Maintain detailed records and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities
