Key Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Detail-oriented and adept at maintaining accurate records and documentation

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive academic, cognitive, and behavioral assessments to identify student needs
  • Interpret and summarize evaluation results for eligibility determination meetings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to faculty and families regarding accommodations and instructional strategies
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities
