Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or credential
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and state/federal special education regulations
- Strong skills in written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
- Detail-oriented and able to manage documentation in a timely manner
Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and diagnostic assessments for referred students
- Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations
- Participate in eligibility meetings, individualized education plan (IEP) and 504 meetings
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to interpret assessment results and recommend strategies
- Help monitor and support implementation of intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all assessments comply with applicable guidelines and deadlines
- Stay current with best practices in diagnostic assessment and special education
