Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician (Texas credentials preferred)
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of diagnostic tools, assessment strategies, and special education procedures
- Experience conducting comprehensive student evaluations for special education eligibility
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and other stakeholders
- Meticulous documentation and case management abilities
- Familiarity with state and federal special education guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret cognitive, behavioral, and academic assessments for students referred for special education services
- Prepare thorough, compliant evaluation reports and participate in ARD/IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and support staff to interpret data and inform instruction and interventions
- Consult with parents and team members to provide recommendations for individualized education plans
- Maintain detailed records while adhering to district, state, and federal compliance standards
- Contribute to the development of appropriate program modifications and accommodations tailored to student needs
- Support teachers with training and resources related to assessment and special education processes
