Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Masters degree in Special Education or a related field preferred
  • Experience administering assessments for students with a range of disabilities
  • Strong understanding of special education law and eligibility criteria
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Proficient in using educational assessment tools and technology
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple evaluations and timelines effectively

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students referred for special education services
  • Interpret data and results to determine eligibility and inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies and recommendations for student support
  • Lead and participate in eligibility, review, and dismissal meetings
  • Maintain clear and thorough documentation according to state and federal guidelines
  • Consult with teachers and staff to optimize classroom accommodations and strategies for success
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to families throughout the assessment process
