Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility
  • Masters degree in Special Education, School Psychology, or related field
  • Prior experience conducting diagnostic educational assessments
  • Thorough understanding of special education laws and evaluation procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and positive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret a variety of academic and cognitive assessments for students referred for special education services
  • Compile thorough and accurate evaluation reports
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and recommend appropriate individualized educational programs
  • Act as a resource for faculty and staff regarding learning strategies, accommodations, and modifications
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and guardians throughout the evaluation process
  • Ensure all assessments, documentation, and service recommendations comply with federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Support ongoing progress monitoring and re-evaluations
