Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility
- Masters degree in Special Education, School Psychology, or related field
- Prior experience conducting diagnostic educational assessments
- Thorough understanding of special education laws and evaluation procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret a variety of academic and cognitive assessments for students referred for special education services
- Compile thorough and accurate evaluation reports
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and recommend appropriate individualized educational programs
- Act as a resource for faculty and staff regarding learning strategies, accommodations, and modifications
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and guardians throughout the evaluation process
- Ensure all assessments, documentation, and service recommendations comply with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Support ongoing progress monitoring and re-evaluations
