Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant educational laws
- Experience conducting a variety of academic and cognitive assessments
- Strong analytical and report-writing abilities
- Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and staff
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability within a collaborative team setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized academic and psychological tests
- Prepare detailed diagnostic reports that guide individualized instruction and intervention
- Collaborate with special education and general education teachers, administrators, and parents
- Attend and participate in IEP and team meetings
- Advocate for student needs and offer expertise to support individualized education plans
- Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate modifications as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
