This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with educators, students, and families, contributing your specialized knowledge to foster student success and growth. Working within school environments, you will conduct evaluations, interpret assessment data, and make recommendations that support individualized education plans.
What Youll Bring:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Masters degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Proven experience with psychoeducational assessments and report writing
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations concerning special education
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple caseloads efficiently
What Youll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students eligibility for special education services
- Interpret data and generate detailed, meaningful reports
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing findings and supporting the development of appropriate educational strategies
- Provide consultation to staff and parents on best practices and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
