What youll bring:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or eligibility to obtain certification
- Previous experience conducting comprehensive academic and cognitive evaluations
- Strong understanding of special education laws and individualized education plan (IEP) development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to interpret assessment data and provide actionable recommendations
- Organizational skills to manage multiple evaluations and deadlines
What the role involves:
- Administering formal and informal assessments to evaluate student needs in academic and cognitive domains
- Interpreting test results to support special education eligibility decisions
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to create effective IEPs
- Consulting with teachers and staff to develop intervention strategies based on assessment findings
- Maintaining accurate documentation and timely reporting for all assessments and meetings
- Attending and contributing to IEP and eligibility meetings to advocate for appropriate student supports
- Providing guidance and resources to staff and families regarding assessment processes and educational options
