Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for students referred for special education services.
  • Analyze and interpret assessment data to determine eligibility and educational needs.
  • Develop clear, thorough evaluation reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to support student achievement.
  • Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Assist in developing effective intervention strategies and educational plans.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Valid Louisiana Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Strong knowledge of special education assessment practices and eligibility procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred but not required.
