Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for students referred for special education services.
- Analyze and interpret assessment data to determine eligibility and educational needs.
- Develop clear, thorough evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to support student achievement.
- Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Assist in developing effective intervention strategies and educational plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and timelines.
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Strong knowledge of special education assessment practices and eligibility procedures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred but not required.
