Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State certification as an Educational Diagnostician (or eligibility to obtain)
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or related field
- Proven experience conducting educational assessments and developing IEPs
- Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Proficiency in assessment tools and special education documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret formal and informal assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in developing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultative support to teachers regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements
- Communicate assessment findings and recommendations to families and team members
- Participate in parental meetings, staff training, and professional development
