Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Experience conducting comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations
- Thorough understanding of special education laws and the IEP process
- Excellent report writing abilities and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple grade levels and with a variety of learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform educational assessments to identify students strengths and needs
- Analyze data and interpret results to support development of effective, individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, specialists, and families to facilitate student success
- Attend and actively participate in meetings regarding student eligibility, reevaluation, and planning
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Provide guidance to instructional staff regarding appropriate strategies, accommodations, and modifications
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in the field of special education assessment
