This contract role focuses on serving one student with visual impairments, including braille instruction and adaptive support. This part-time opportunity offers approximately 21 hours per week, making it ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work with flexibility. The assignment is designated as a maternity leave coverage from October to November 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) certification for Virginia
- Experience supporting students with visual needs and teaching braille
- Ability to design and deliver tailored educational strategies
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive materials
- Passion for advocating and creating accessible learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support to a student with TVI needs
