Job Description

A dedicated professional is needed to provide specialized educational support as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a school setting located in Waterford, MI. This onsite contract position involves working with a diverse K-12 caseload, requiring expertise and a passion for helping students with hearing challenges succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grade levels.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Utilize specialized strategies and tools to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation including assessments, progress reports, and attendance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Michigan Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
  • Proven experience working professionally within school environments.
  • Ability to manage district fingerprinting requirements for employment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Position Details:
