Key Qualifications:

  • Florida state certification as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Ability to effectively deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills appropriate for diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, specialized instruction tailored to the academic and social needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Support students across various schools district-wide, traveling as required to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
  • Utilize assistive listening devices and communication strategies to enhance student learning and engagement
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, with weekly pay to ensure timely and reliable compensation.
