A dynamic opportunity is available for a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students in an educational setting. This contract position requires a compassionate professional skilled in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, offering tailored support that enhances learning and communication within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instructional services tailored to Deaf / Hard of Hearing students unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize various communication methods, including sign language and auditory strategies, to facilitate effective learning.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and confidence.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Advocate for the needs of Deaf / Hard of Hearing students within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or equivalent credential.
- Experience working directly with Deaf / Hard of Hearing students in school settings.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant communication modalities.
- Strong understanding of educational strategies and technologies used for Deaf / Hard of Hearing education.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional plans.
