Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current credentials as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience providing direct services to school-aged children, particularly in early childhood through middle school settings
- Proficient in virtual instruction and use of online education platforms
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation
- Comfortable participating in IEP meetings and preparing progress notes
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong connections with students and fellow staff members
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging virtual instruction and direct services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring accessibility for diverse learners
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights on student needs and progress
- Document and track progress with regular, accurate notes and reports
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment
