Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Virtual Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, serving early childhood through 8th grade. This contract position requires 35 hours per week and is based in Naperville, IL, offering the chance to work remotely while making a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct virtual instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing from early childhood through 8th grade.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and implement tailored educational plans.
  • Maintain detailed progress notes to monitor and communicate student growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with other educational staff and specialists to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience working with students from early childhood through middle school.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for virtual instruction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
