Job Description
A school in Modesto, CA is seeking a dedicated Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist for an elementary classroom setting. This contract position is full-time, Monday through Friday, providing vital support to students with hearing impairments and ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an elementary classroom.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and teaching methods.
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to meet individual needs.
- Facilitate communication between students, families, and school personnel.
- Utilize technology and resources specific to hearing-impaired education.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at the elementary level.
- Strong knowledge of communication methods, assistive technologies, and educational strategies for hearing-impaired learners.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time contract position
