A rewarding opportunity is available for a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support educational programs at a school located in McConnell Air Force Base, KS. This contract position involves working closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing to enhance their learning experiences and ensure accessibility in the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with hearing impairments.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students using specialized strategies and assistive technologies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments.
• Conduct hearing screenings and auditory training as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certification or licensure in deaf education or audiology.

• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and related communication techniques.
• Ability to develop and implement educational materials and assistive technology tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
