Job Description

Take your experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing to an impactful setting. As an essential part of this contract role, youll deliver both compensatory and consultation services, along with direct interaction and instruction, to students in an onsite school environment. This is a full-time opportunity with a steady 35-hour workweek, allowing you to make meaningful connections and contribute to specialized support in educational settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) license
  • PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential for California
  • Previous experience providing TDHH services or similar roles preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and tailor interventions accordingly

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support and intervention to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Complete necessary compensatory services and maintain thorough documentation
  • Offer consultation to staff and families, supporting student access and participation
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to foster inclusion and learning
  • Collaborate with special education teams to create and implement effective service plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate service outcomes as needed
