Job Description

This contract opportunity lets you provide expert support and instruction Monday through Friday, partnering with students and staff to foster a positive, accessible educational experience.

Youll collaborate with teachers, families, and school specialists to ensure that each child receives personalized instruction tailored to their unique needs. Your expertise will empower students who are deaf or hard of hearing to engage fully in classroom activities and achieve academic success.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • California credential or eligibility to teach the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, ideally in elementary settings
  • Familiarity with assistive hearing technology and classroom accommodations
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, specialists, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing elementary students in a classroom setting
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans and teaching materials
  • Coordinate with school staff to implement IEP goals and accommodations
  • Utilize a variety of tools and technologies to support student learning
  • Monitor student progress and maintain records as required
  • Provide resources and guidance to educators and families
