This position offers an opportunity to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by providing specialized educational services within a school setting. Based in Lowell, MA, this contract role focuses on enhancing academic and social development through tailored communication strategies and individualized support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Utilizing assistive technology and communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) and speech therapy techniques.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to meet evolving needs.
