What were seeking:

  • Current certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
  • Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of assistive listening devices, audiological reports, and educational accommodations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultation services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Assess students needs and participate in IEP meetings, making recommendations for appropriate accommodations and services
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create accessible learning environments
