A contract position is available for a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students in a school setting. This role requires specialized skills in working with deaf and hard of hearing students to enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Use a variety of communication methods, including sign language, to facilitate learning.
• Assist in assessing students' progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of students within the educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an educational setting.
• Proficiency in sign language and other communication techniques relevant to this population.
• Knowledge of educational strategies for deaf and hard of hearing learners.
