Job Description
A contract position is available for a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students in a school setting. This role requires specialized skills in working with deaf and hard of hearing students to enhance their educational experience.
Location:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Use a variety of communication methods, including sign language, to facilitate learning.
- Assist in assessing students' progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of students within the educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in sign language and other communication techniques relevant to this population.
- Knowledge of educational strategies for deaf and hard of hearing learners.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
